With the posting of its final chapter 76: What’s the Point?, I’m very pleased to say that Legacy of the Crimson Wraith is complete. But Gracie’s adventures with Titan City’s Scarlet Stranger are far from over.
I’ve already begun work on the next novel in the series, and it will be some time before that is ready to share with readers. But in the meantime, Legacy of the Crimson Wraith is going to receive the treatment it deserves. I’m in the process of formatting the webnovel for those who would prefer not to read it in their browser window. First, it will be made available to download for e-readers, then it will be formatted for print.
That will be followed by an alternate edit in which the chapters will be presented purely chronologically, instead of flashing back and forth between present and past. And then, I will be recording Legacy of the Crimson Wraith as a podcast for those who — like me — love most of all to have their favorite stories read to them aloud.
How long will this process take? I don’t dare to hazard a guess. But from the responses I’ve received already, I’m excited to expand the ways in which readers can enjoy this novel. After all, for whatever fantasies we authors may savor of having our characters adapted for film, getting their own merchandise on shelves, or serving as the inspiration for a theme park, it really just comes down to the joy we feel when these worlds and words in our minds can be loved by others as well.
